Good Friday Observance

We invite you to partake in a communal fast with us as we reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sake of our souls.

In remembrance of the hours Jesus spent in anguish on the cross, we ask that everyone observing Good Friday with us fasts until 3:00pm. This act of fasting is inspired by Mark 15:34, where Jesus, in His final moments, cries out, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

This time of fasting is a personal offering of reverence and reflection on the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice. Good Friday is a solemn yet hopeful day that reminds us of the depth of God’s love for us.
